Lauren Watt

Lauren, originally from Ontario, has led a life marked by adventure and adaptability. With 15 moves under her belt, Lauren’s journey has taken her across various regions, but it was five years ago when she finally found a place to call home in the serene coastal province of Nova Scotia.

Lauren’s career began in the culinary world, where she honed her skills as a chef. Despite the excitement and creativity the culinary arts offered, Lauren’s true passion always lay beneath the waves. Her love for the ocean and its inhabitants steered her towards a new path, leading her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Biology.

A dedicated student and an avid scuba diver, Lauren immerses herself in the underwater world, studying marine ecosystems and advocating for their preservation. Her commitment to ocean and marine life conservation is unwavering, driven by a deep-seated desire to protect the environment for future generations.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Lauren finds joy in hiking and exploring nature, activities that further fuel her appreciation for the natural world. Her volunteer work with Mind Your Plastic aligns perfectly with her passion for environmental conservation. Through this organization, Lauren plans to help educate the public on the pressing issue of plastic pollution and inspire collective action to safeguard our planet.
