Community Cleanup with Scotian Shores  

Join us for a community cleanup at Shannon Park. We will walk along the Canada 150 trail and pick up debris. At the end, we will sort and track our findings and learn about circularity in our economy!

Family Webinar with Project Learning Tree Canada

Plastic Oceans and PLT Canada, an initiative of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), have teamed up to celebrate the connection between forest and ocean conservation. Join us live on Zoom for an interactive program featuring the unique ways that water helps move plant seeds.

Trees & Trash Talk with Plant Biologist and #LocalHero Nick Curran

Join us for an afternoon walk through Point Pleasant Park with local plant biologist Nick Curran to celebrate Plastic Oceans’ first annual Trees & Seas festival! Nick will teach us all about our local plant species, as well as the impact of invasive species, including litter! As we walk and learn, we will beautify our forests by cleaning up any trash we see.

Trees & Seas Tree Planting in Cole Harbour Heritage Park

Join us to plant trees in the beautiful Cole Harbour Heritage Park of Nova Scotia in celebration of our first Trees & Seas Festival! It’s the perfect opportunity to combine ocean and forest conservation.
