Plastic Free July doesn’t have to be all or nothing. We love the idea of never using single-use plastics, but that just doesn’t work for some people.

Each week in July we’re focusing on minimizing plastic in just one way. We don’t want this to be overwhelming — just look at taking small steps to reducing your waste.

Laura from our team shows off what she did for her Plastic Free July challenge.

Here are some zero-waste personal care tips!

– Invest in a bar of shampoo, instead of buying it in a plastic bottle

– Use bar soap instead of liquid soap, and solid shave soap instead of canned shave cream

– Buy washable makeup remover cloths instead of disposable makeup remover wipes

This week Dayanne is working on reducing her impact during her Birthday Party!

Have a Zero Waste Birthday Party!

-Buy drinks in larger bottles and serve in reusable cups or glasses if you can.

-Set out a tub or box for rubbish, one for recyclables and one for food scraps if you compost.

-Keep your party footprint light by emailing digital invitations instead of printing and sending.

Michelle is moving to Ontario and she is sharing her progress with us!

Have zero waste when moving!

-Use natural sponges or loofahs and help to save our environment!

-Save money buying a reusable water bottle and end the cycle of plastic waste!

-Reuse your glass jars after removing the labels.

Join millions of people around the world helping end plastic waste!

Will you part of plastic free July by choosing to refuse single-use plastics?  We are looking forward to making a difference together.
