Khadija

Khadija is extremely passionate about nature and marine life. Most of her leisure time is spent in nature or enjoying underwater documentaries. The world under water never fails to amuse her. From a young age, she developed a sense of responsibility towards the environment and thus, has devoted a significant amount of time in plantation and campaigns creating environmental awareness. She also initiated a campaign to raise awareness of the detriments caused by plastic to the environment and promote the use of wooden toothbrushes over plastic toothbrushes in her home country. Prior to the campaign, she Khadija researched the adverse effects of plastic on water life and soil.

Khadija studied Bachelor’s in Law (LL. B) from the University of London, UK and a Post-graduation diploma in Law – Bar Professional Training Course (PGDL – BPTC) from Northumbria University, UK. After being accredited as an international mediator by Singapore International Mediation Institute, Singapore, she decided to further her education by pursuing a Master’s in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA).

Khadija is honoured to be a volunteer for Mind Your Plastic and hopes to employ her legal knowledge and skills to assist the organization in its internal policy-making and contribute to its vision to eliminate plastic pollution in Canada.
