Avi Diggle

Avi grew up in New Brunswick beside the splendid Kennebecasis River, and currently lives in Kjipuktuk/Halifax. She completed her undergraduate studies in both media arts and cultures and sociology, and just completed a Master of Environmental Studies in the School for Resource and Environmental Studies at Dalhousie University. Her thesis research concerned the Extended Producer Responsibility principle for plastic packaging waste, which is a type of waste policy that requires industry to account for the packaging materials that they introduce into our consumer marketplace. She is very excited about the opportunity to join the Mind Your Plastic team and to support the growth of the Circular Economy Ambassador Program this summer.

Avi is committed to environmental stewardship and advocacy for environmental justice, and is passionate about furthering global efforts towards building a circular economy in our food systems globally. Avi is avid about many things, but especially films, berry picking, Star Wars, and dogs.
